Keegan Lam was born and raised in the Halifax/Dartmouth area. Having always been artistically inclined, he spent almost three years at NSCAD (Halifax's Fine Art University) honing his skills, before he discovered tattooing. He then promptly left school to focus on his new found passion and has not looked back since.
He started his tattoo journey in 2006, followed by a move to Ontario in 2009 where he spent two years continuing to learn his craft. He began working with the HFX Tattoo family in 2010 when he made the move back from Toronto to Halifax. Although, he is not one to leave his friends or clientele hanging and does make regular trips back to Toronto to work with the team at FYInk.
He is known for his colour work predominantly, but considers himself a fairly well rounded artist, having won second place for best Tribal/Polynesian/Geometric tattoo at the 2014 Maritime Tattoo Festival. Never one to back down from even the most harebrained ideas, Keegan uses his wizardry to knock it out of the park every time.
